Why should I use your services?

What happens when I call for a quote?

Our approach is simple: We conduct all client communications in a respectful, friendly and professional way in which we give you the information, and then we step back and let you make the decision on your time frame. The process of providing a quote is quick and easy, and it normally takes no more than a few minutes. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, and typical questions that we get address such areas as the amount of employment experience to include, how to best focus one's resume, how to handle gaps in experience, and how to manage multiple career interests or directions with a resume. If you contact us to receive a quote, you will not be contacted afterward by a salesperson and there is no pressure to purchase at any time in the process. This is an approach that over the years has proven to be practical, efficient and very satisfactory for our clients (see Testimonials).

What is your approach to setting fees?

Simply stated, we compete on value not on price. Because we offer prospective clients a personalized, highly accessible service (for example, we encourage individuals to ask questions at any point in the process to ensure their complete satisfaction with the end deliverable) that is backed by solid industry experience as well as continual research and study of the latest trends impacting job seekers, we charge fees that we believe fairly reflect the value we provide.

With that said, we are very aware that there are many service providers and price points for people to consider. We also realize that no service model meets everyone's needs, and we completely respect individuals for choosing solutions that deliver the most value relative to their budgets. What if I only need a resume update as opposed to a full revamp?

Occasionally, we are contacted by prospective clients whose needs are limited to updating specific resume areas and in these instances we typically assist them by updating these areas for a fraction of the fee normally quoted for a full revamp. Quotes for these situations are handled on an individual basis and are only provided after receiving and reviewing a prospective client's current resume. As is always the case at Great Impressions Resume & Career Services, there is no charge for providing a quote.

In general, the vast majority of clients we serve are seeking overall resume solutions to overcome the gap between the value they feel their resume is currently projecting and the value that they would like it to project. As a result, our posted pricing is geared accordingly in reflecting the effort and skill that is required to revamp their resumes to help them articulate and present their full value to employers.

Do you guarantee results?

We cannot guarantee hiring results as there are too many factors beyond our control. But we can guarantee your satisfaction with the work that we do for you. If at any time for up to 60 days following the completion of your document you are not satisfied with it, for any reason, we will revise it or refund your money. Our singular concern is your complete satisfaction with our services.

Is the information that I provide to you confidential?

Absolutely. The information that you share with us will be held in the strictest confidence. We will never disclose personal information or work-related or other background details with anyone.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept checks or cash, as well as online payments through PayPal (bank account, debit card or credit card) or Popmoney (bank account or debit card).

How do you handle requests for service cancellations or fee refunds?

If for any reason you cancel or put the project on hold once work has begun, a cancellation fee may be applied. Fifty percent of the fee will be billed if the project is cancelled or postponed for any reason before the first draft is completed. One hundred percent of the fee will be billed once the first draft has been completely written.

Do you meet with clients in person or do you handle all communications by phone or e-mail?

For many clients, the information-gathering process is accomplished via email, through a phone discussion or by using both of these options. For Central Wisconsin clients, this can also be done in an in-person meeting.
